Flux is an indispensable material in electronic assembly technology. The quality of flux directly affects the entire production process and product quality of the electronics industry. Therefore, flux plays an important role in the soldering process. So what properties should the flux for solder wire have?
(1) The flux for solder wire should have an appropriate active temperature range. It starts to work before the solder is melted, and plays a better role in removing the oxide film and reducing the surface tension of the liquid solder during the soldering process. The melting point of the flux should be lower than that of the solder, but not too large.
(2) The flux for solder wire should have good thermal stability, and the general thermal stability temperature is not less than 100 ℃.
(3) The density of the flux for the solder wire should be less than that of the liquid solder, so that the flux for the solder wire can spread evenly on the surface of the metal to be welded, and cover the surface of the solder and the metal to be welded in a thin film, effectively isolating the air, Promotes wetting of the base metal by the solder.
(4) The residue of the flux used for solder wire should not be corrosive and easy to clean; it should not precipitate toxic and harmful gases; it should have water-soluble resistance and insulation resistance that meet the regulations of the electronics industry; no moisture absorption, no mold; Chemically stable and easy to store.
What is the flux content of the solder wire?
The soldering agent in the solder wire is mainly rosin, but there are also some high-demand soldering wires in which the soldering agent is composed of various chemical components.
Description of the flux content in the solder wire: Flux 2.0% 0.8mm, which means that the flux content is 2.0%, and the diameter of the solder wire is 0.8mm (mm). Now the general solder wire flux content in the solder industry is 2%. Left and right. There are also two specifications of flux content of 1.0% and 3.0% respectively.
The solder wire flux content is 1.0%, which is mainly used in the case of small spacing and dense electronic components.
Solder wire has a flux content of 2.0%, this is a general-purpose model and is suitable for soldering operations in most cases.
The flux content of solder wire is 3.0%, which is generally used in special industries and rarely used in routine use.
Regarding the question of how much the flux content of the solder wire is, it is recommended that our customers and friends provide the product parameters that your factory needs to weld.
